Beisbol Predictors Society

The basic idea is to predict the outcome of the 2024 MLB season.  Here is what is required of you (besides paying the upfront $25 fee):

     1) Using the over/under win lines that will be provided to you on March 15, predict how each team will fare:  Will they win more or less than the Vegas prediction?  You do that for each 30 teams.

     2) Predict which teams will win each of the six divisions.

     3) Predict the six other Wild Card teams that will make the playoffs.

     4) Predict the four teams that will advance to the AL/NL Championship games.

     5) Predict which team will win the NL pennant, and which team will win the AL pennant.

     6) And, of course, predict which team will win the World Series.

You score points for correct predictions:

          a) 3 points for each correct over/under prediction;

          b) 10 points for each correct division winner prediction;

          c) 5 points for each correct Wild Card prediction (if you pick a team to win the division title, but they only win a Wild Card spot, you get 5 points; if you pick a team to win a Wild Card and they either win the division OR grab a Wild Card, you get 5 points);

          d) 12 points for each correct prediction of the 4 teams in the AL/NL Championship games (this is new in 2024).

          e) 15 points each for correctly predicting the AL and NL pennant winners;

          f)  25 points for correctly predicting the World Series winner.

Your "Regular Season Score" is based on the a ---> c scores.

Your "Overall" score is based on all of the scores (a ---> f).

Prize money will be given, 70% to the Regular Season winners, 30% to the Overall winners.  Depending on how many participate will determine how many places we'll pay.

The winner will proudly claim the Mr./Ms. Beisbol of 2024 Award.
